Hack to make free STD Calls

STD call rates are reducing in India every day, but still, they are not free. Today we bring you a hack to make free STD calls. We are exploiting a loophole in Rediff’s ad service. You can search for an ad on Rediff local ads and call the advertiser through Rediff. Rediff will call you first and then connect you with the advertiser of that ad. In this hack you basically need to post one ad, with your phone number. After that, every time you have to call a friend, you can search for that ad and pretend to be your friend. you want to call. Rediff will thus, call you as the advertiser and it will call your friend whose number you provided. Confused? Let us explain it step by step.
.
1) Go to http://localads.rediff.com
.
2) Click on Post ad (free) button.
.
3) Fill out the form and enter your Mobile number. Here, you should advertise something which is easier to search.
.
4) Post your ad and and wait for some time. Usually it takes around 40-45 minutes at max.
.
5) Search your ad and provide your friend’s number as the number to be connected with advertiser of that ad (you).
.
That is it. You made a free STD call. The catch is that one call lasts for only 1:30 minutes. Additionally, there is a limit of calls made per ad per week. However, they let you post multiple ads with same mobile number. That is you can do away with this weekly limit easily.

Hack your friends mobile

So you want to do any of the following?

  • .log into your friends mobile
  • read his messages
  • change his phone settings- read his messages
  • change profile
  • play his ringtone even if phone is on silent
  • play his songs(in his phone)
  • restart the phone
  • switch off the phone
  • restore factory settings
  • change ringing volume
  • call from his phone

Ok so how the hell to do this Ok for starters this is no hack. It uses bluetooth's existing functionality to access the features being talked about.
.
Prerequisites:
.
  • The other phone must be bluetooth enabled(most are these days)
  • The other phone must have bluetooth on(Surprisingly a lot of people always have it on, in spite of the fact that you should never have it on, it eats you battery. How many people, a BBC panaroma program some time back used this to find out that more than 60% of people have left bluetooth on.
  • Unless the other person configured it that way, you do require permission to pair once. So you need to be paired with the other phone once to use this hack next time without anyone's knowing. (Thats why its hack your friends mobile, your friend might have paired you already .

Improving the movement of the mouse in a Remote Desktop Connection

Remote Desktop Connection allows you to take control of a machine remotely. By default, the position of the mouse is sent to the remote machine every 100 ms.

If you want to make more fluid movement of the mouse, you can reduced this value.
  • Open the Registry

  • Click on "start", "Run ..." then type "regedit" and do "OK"

  • Go to the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Terminal Server Client "

  • In the right part of creating a DWORD value named "Min Send Interval" and set its value to "10" (10 ms) in decimal (in which case you should change this value)

  • Your mouse will now be much more reactive when Remote Desktop Connection.

Show and Display IP Routing Table in Windows or Linux

Every computer on TCP/IP network (i.e. connect to Internet or LAN) depends on IP routing table to make routing decisions. Routing table, otherwise also known as Routing Information Base (RIB), is an electronic table (file) or database type object that is stored in a router or a networked computer to store the routes, and in some cases, metrics associated with those routes to particular network destinations, i.e. IP address.

Routing table is important for troubleshooting or identifying network problem, when all other components such as network cable, LAN connectivity, Ethernet (or FastEthernet or GigabitEthernet) port appear to have no error or issue. In rare cases, the routing table may point to incorrect interface to route, or has other routing problems, especially in the case of system with two or multiple NIC cards or network adapters.

To view, show or display the routing table in Windows or Linux (works on most Linux and Unix such as Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS, etc.) operating system, use the following commands. In Windows, open a command prompt to issue the command:

netstat -rn

Alternatively, just type the following command in Linux:

route

Or, the following command in Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and etc:

route print

In Windows Server based operating system, administrator can also view the content of routing table by using Routing And Remote Access GUI management console, accessible from Administrative Tools of Control Panel. After Configure and Enable Routing and Remote Access for LAN routing (under custom configuration), administrator can expand the node to view the routing table, and then expand IP Routing on the console tree. Then, right click on Static Routes and select Show IP Routing Table from the context menu. The entries in the routing table are displayed in the right pane of the Routing And Remote Access console.

The output or the routing table looks something similar with table below:

Brief explanation and description of the columns in the routing table

Network destination or Destination: The destination host, subnet address, network address, or default route. The destination for a default route is 0.0.0.0.

Netmask or Genmask: The subnet mask that is applied to the destination IP address when matching it to the value in the network destination. Used in conjunction with the destination to determine when a route is used.

Gateway: The IP address that the local host uses to forward IP datagrams to other IP networks. This is either the IP address of a local network adapter or the IP address of an IP router (such as a default gateway router) on the local network segment.

Interface or iFace: The interface indicates the LAN or demand-dial interface (i.e. its IP address that is configured on the local computer for the local network adapter) that is to be used to reach the next router when an IP datagram is forwarded on the network.

Metric: Indicates the cost of using a route, which is typically the number of hops or the number of routers to cross to reach to the IP destination, Anything on the local subnet is one hop, and each router crossed after that is an additional hop. If there are multiple routes to the same destination with different metrics, the route with the lowest metric is the best route selected.

Protocol: Shows how the route was learned. If the Protocol column lists RIP, OSPF, or anything other than Local, then the router is receiving routes. Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is not available on Windows XP 64-bit Edition (Itanium) and the 64-bit versions of the Windows Server 2003 family.

Flags: Describes the route with the following definitions - G (The route uses a gateway); U (The interface to be used is up); H (Only a single host can be reached through the route. For example, this is the case for the loopback entry 127.0.0.1); D (The route is dynamically created. It is set if the table entry has been generated by a routing daemon like gated or by an ICMP redirect message); M (The route is set if the table entry was modified by an ICMP redirect message) and ! (The route is a reject route and datagrams will be dropped).

MSS: Acronym for Maximum Segment Size, and is the size of the largest datagram the kernel will construct TCP connection for transmission via this route.

Window: Indicates the maximum amount of data the system will accept in a single burst from a remote host when establishing TCP connections.

irtt: Acronym for “initial round trip time” - indicates the value of time that the TCP protocol will use to wait for acknowledgment for a datagram to remote end has delivered been received when a connection is first established. The protocol is used to ensure reliability as hosts will retransmit a datagram if it has been lost (no ack received).

How to hide drives on Windows XP or Vista ?

You may need to hide a drive either for security reasons (to ensure that children do not have access to a backup drive, for example) or for practical reasons (if your PC has multiple memory card readers never used). Here's how to do so, under XP and Vista.

A command in the registry will tell Windows Explorer not to display some readers. Technically, the system uses a binary value of 32 bits where each bit corresponds to a reader. Bit 0 is the drive A, bit 1 in drive B, etc.. When this bit is "1" the player is hidden, otherwise it is visible.
  • Go to Start, then Run and then type regedit.
  • Deploy the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/Explorer"
  • If the DWORD (32 bit) named NoDrives does not exist, start by creating (click the right mouse button and select New then Value DWORD).
  • Double-click NoDrives to amend this item, select Base Decimal and enter into the data field the decimal value of the player to hide (e.g. 512 for the drive J: ). If you hide multiple drives, take their different decimal values and add them.

Move from Windows to Linux

A suggestive guide on how to move from Windows to Linux. Get a taste of Linux without disrupting your Windows installation.
  • Choose a Linux Distro. Research is key. Look into what distribution of GNU/Linux would be best for you. Everyone is different, and all Linux distributions are different, but there will probably be one (or two) that appeals to the most. If you're new to the operating system, it's probably best to go for something PCLinuxOS, Mandriva or Ubuntu - these distributions of Linux are aimed at inexperienced users and will help you along the way. The Ubuntu distribution will send you a set of CDs free of charge, there are other sites on the internet which charge a small fee for postage.

  • Try the "Live CD" versions first, assuming your computer will boot from the CD drive; most will. Most distributions offer Live CD ISOs on their website, which you can burn to CD. A Live CD means that Linux will run entirely from a CD and will not touch your Windows installation - this allows you to test out some of the functionality Linux offers without wiping your existing Windows install.

  • Use Linux applications that have been ported over to Windows. Fine example are Inkscape and the GIMP. Using these will get you used to the kind of applications available on Linux. Using open source applications will be a real boost when you actually switch over, as it will be relatively painless for, say, an XChat user to use XChat on his new system, rather than a mIRC (Or other Windows-only IRC client) user having to learn an entirely new program.

  • Back up your important data before you do anything else. If you make a mistake while installing Linux, it's possible you'll have to format your hard drive to put things right. In which case, you will lose all data on it. It is very important you back up if you need to.

  • Get hold of a Linux install CD - when you boot from this, it will take you through the steps required to install Linux. Some distributions, like Ubuntu, actually install from the Live CD, so you do not need to download an additional CD image.

  • Partition your hard drive into two partitions, one containing your existing Windows install, the other containing the Linux installation. Under Windows, this can be easily done with various partitioning tools (Partition Magic, Paragon Partition Manager and others) preserving both Windows installation and existing data. Note that Windows Vista comes with a partition tool.

  • Choose which operating system to boot into when once the Linux installation has finished. This is called dual-booting. It is wise to do this before completely converting to Linux to give you something to fall back on if something goes wrong.

  • Get comfortable with Linux. As time goes on you will find you need to boot into Windows less and less. Using Linux is a learning experience, make sure you make the most of the "community" help which is available from most distributions of Linux. There is usually a wide community which you can ask questions and there will be people more than willing to help you out with any problems you've got. Make sure you use Google and the "search" functions on community websites because people may get irate at answering the same questions all the time in forums and on irc. Visit your distribution's support page or FAQ.

  • Wipe your Windows partition (devote your entire hard disk to Linux) once you're comfortable with Linux. You'll probably never look back!

Play Music from CD-ROM without Computer

Here is a trick which will play CD in the CD-ROM without having a computer. This will work for the older CD-ROM which had 3.5mm Audio out Jack and can play only Audio CD [some support mp3 but no other format] [Best works with Creative 52X Multimedia CD-ROM also had an Infra-Red Remote and lots of buttons for play/pause, stop, etc].
You will need :
  • A CD-ROM with Audio Out 3.5mm jack.
  • A SMPS [Old AT SMPS which had a power switch to on the supply unlike ATX which needs motherboard to power on].
  • A power cable to power your SMPS.

How to do:
  • Connect the CD-ROM with SMPS.
  • Connect your speaker to the Audio jack of the CD-ROM or connect an amplifier for Bigger speaker, power it up, insert an audio CD.
  • Rock On!!

Unblock a Website using Google Search Engine

hi there.

We generally notice that if we try to search for the particular web from our company, office, school or public library, we normally realize that mostly all popular or slightly off color or not so graphically designed web sites have been blocked. Web sites that are been usually blocked also include Myspace.com, Youtube.com, our lists of favorite forum sites and also many entertainment or gossip sites that provide blue humor or some kind of offensive comments. If you try to take back your web and once again try to regain full access to the internet, you will have to unblock web sites.

Now the common but important question is how do these websites are blocked by search engines?

In order to explain more about how to unblock web sites, it is very important for you to understand how specific web sites are first become blocked one's.

Blocked web sites are the sites that generally result of special software that is loaded onto your computer that works with your internet browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, in which you can adjust the options to allow or block specific web sites.

To add more on this, when it comes to large computer networks like the ones you might find at your corporate office or school, a firewall software is usually involved and this resource is also used for blocking specific web sites of the organization while choosing.

While it is very easy and simple to implement in order to block web sites, where unblocking web sites can sometimes be a tedious job to achieve it. I guess these are a few tips that will definitely help you in level the playing field, as it will provide you the capability and permission to access almost any blocked web site.

Change Settings on an Individual Computer:

This tip is regarding unblocking a web site which generally works on single computers that are connected directly to the internet. If you are using a computer on a network connected to a firewall software overseen by an administrator, there are chances that this strategy will not be effective.

It's quite obvious if you are using a single computer that has some kind of special blocking software or browser options preset in order to block a particular web site, you are able to change the required setting or you can disable the blocking software. If the browser you are using is blocking your web site, you are able to easily change the required settings,

Just click the tools tab and reconfigure the options or security tabs located in the browsers.
Another work around for a browser that is blocking your web site is to download and use a different browser.
For those that have MS Internet Explorer, simply download and use Firefox or vice versa.

For those people who are working on an individual computer with some special software used to block particular web site, you need to disable the software by any means. You can also delete the software or stop the software from loading the next time as you start up the computer or during shutdown; the software while it is running using the CTRL+ALT+DEL keys.
Use the IP Address Instead of URL

In general cases, it is possible to type in the IP address instead of using the URL. The URL is the written web address. But, even though we try to type in letters or words into our browser, the internet and World Wide Web translate these URLs into an IP address such as 99.121.224.67. Sometimes the software or browser will not try to block an IP, but if your software is capable to map the IP address using a reverse DNS, you should look up at your site which will ultimately stay blocked.
Use URL Redirects

There are a some web sites that will offer URL redirects. For instance, you can also create a new URL for the blocked web sites with the help of redirect services. As you create a redirect, try to enter the new URL and have the service forward you to the blocked web site. In some situations these new URLs are redirected and can not change thus leads you to access banned sites. There are basically two types of redirection services which include Tinyurl.com and Snipurl.com.

Now for the Solution time:

Unblock a Web site using Google

Many types of tools or services are available at Google which offers a sort of help for you in order to access blocked web sites. If we go in a Practical sense, every computer provides you an access to Google search engine which makes the strategies quite pleasant and attractive.

Google Cache

Avoid going directly to the web site with the help of URL, visit the home page of Google search engine and try to search for the web site or web site page you need to access. As Google shows you the possible or the available sources which are indexed, try to select or retrieve the blocked web page using Google’s cache copy of the page. As these pages are copied into Google’s database, In maximum cases the site will not be able to get blocked.

Google Mobile Search

Google’s Mobile search can also make an attempt for a blocking a site. When Google tries to translates a simple HTML web page into a mobile page it tries to remove some parts of the web page such as CSS scripts and JavaScript’s and also it reconfigures the sites view in order to make a large page into a much smaller and reduced sized pages. Thus during such translation process, it may be possible that many blocked software programs are not able to recognize the page for being one that should be blocked by google.

Google Proxy

Google as a search engine is not specifically a proxy server or a proxy site, but this search engine can be used for much more than just searching the internet. When Google tries to translates a web site into a different language it acts as a go-between which is as similar to a proxy server. This code will help you to translate any web page into English which means you will be able to translate a web paged in English back to English language using Google as a proxy like tool. Just try to change the URL with the site that you are trying to gain access to.

Hack Google Logo or Any Website

There are a lot of Google hacks but this one is one of the most funnier. You will make Google logo dance all over the screen!

1. Go to http://www.google.com/, it must be Google.com and not Google.org or Google.ro or other top level domain.

If you can't access Google.com you can find it at this link:

http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en

2. Delete the URL address in the navigation bar and paste this code:

Code:
javascript:R=0; x1=.1; y1=.05; x2=.25; y2=.24; x3=1.6; y3=.24; x4=300; y4=200; x5=300; y5=200; DI=document.images; DIL=DI.length; function A(){for(i=0; i-DIL; i++){DIS=DI[ i ].style; DIS.position='absolute'; DIS.left=Math.sin(R*x1+i*x2+x3)*x4+x5; DIS.top=Math.cos(R*y1+i*y2+y3)*y4+y5}R++}setInterval('A()',5); void(0);
3. Press Enter and you will see the Google logo dance on the screen.

4. This hack can be applied for any website .com but not all will work.

Change Start Button Text

Would you like to change the Start button to say something else, perhaps your name, company or any other 5 or less letter word? The start button is the most clicked on button in all of Windows. If you are going to customize windows, why not customize the start button. It is possible to change the text of the start button through the use of a hex editor which is a special program that allows you to edit files that were already compiled.

To get started, all you need is a hex editor which you can dowload for free on the web. If you do not have a hex editor, visit download.com and preform a search for hex editor and you will find several. Manually changing the Start button requires the use of a binary file editor (or hex editor) to alter a critical Windows system file, it is therefore not recommended for inexperienced users. This method has been successfully tested on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 and XP and therefore should be quite safe, although we do not accept any responsibility for system problems or data loss.

Once you have the hex editor downloaded and installed, just open up explorer.exe which is found in the windows directory in the program. Then go to the following offsets and you will see the text S T A R T. Just modify the letters to what ever you wish and save the file and you are set to go. Make sure that you leave the spaces between the letters and you only overwrite the five letters.

The file offsets for XP are: 000412b6 - 000412bf and 0004158a - 00041593

This method has a few limitations though, you can only use exactly 5 letters. If you want to us somthing with more than five letters, below is another guide that will also change the start menu text. It is from tweakersguide.com but it was in German so here's my rough translation.

First of all you will need to download a exe editor - Resource Hacker and Hacker 2.0 are avaliable from www.downloads.com and are adequate for the task in hand.

The first 3 steps stop the file we are going to tamper with from being restored automatically when windows restarts

1) with notepad or a text editor open the file c:\windows\system32\restore\filelist.xml (you might need to change it's properites from read only first by right clicking on the file and selecting properties, then remove the tich from the read only checkbox)

2) add the following line to the first section to exclude explorer.exe from the protected file list
- %windir%explorer.exe

3) save the file (and apply the read only properties back if you wish)

The next 2 steps actually modify the explorer.exe file that is the windows shell so back it up first if you are uncertain what you are doing (to back up the file, open a cmd window and type -
copy c:\windows\explorer.exe c:\windows\explorer.bak)

4) Open the file c:\windows\explorer.exe with your exe editor and edit the text in following lines

String Table > 37 > 1033
String Table > 38 > 1033

You just edit the text inside the "Start" to what ever you want and compile if necessary (depends on your exe editor - you will if you use ResHack)

5) save the file as (file > save as) explorer.xp (back up this file to another disk if you want to save a bit of hassle after you recover the machine next time)

Now you need to copy the file you've modified best way I've found to do this is to boot to safe mode command prompt although it's been suggested that you can stop the explorer.exe process with Task Manager, copy the fie in a cmd prompt then restart the process again - that worked for me but the origional returned after a restart. The next 3 steps describe how you copy the file

6) restart the machine and start tapping F8 to get the start menu - choose safe mode with command prompt

7) log on as Administrator and you'll be presented with a cmd prompt

8) To copy the modified file just type
copy c:\windows\explorer.xp c:\windows\explorer.exe
assuming that's where you saved it to with your exe editor)

9) Restart Machine.

Thats it.. Now enjoy the new text button..

If everything has gone successfully you will now have a new Start button, and also hopefully learnt something about the Explorer file structure. If you do have problems replace the faulty Explorer with the backup made during the first step.

Ctrl+C we use it every day . But it'snot a verysafe thing to do. why???

What happens when you press Ctrl+C while you are Online...

We do copy various data by Ctrl + C for copying & pasting elsewhere.

Step:1) Copy any text by Ctrl + C.
